Q: Will there be day passes available?
A: No. Only full weekend passes are available for 2025.
Q: Where else can I stay if I don’t have a room at the Flamingo?
A: Book a vacation rental home through your preferred booking app, stay with a local friend, or reserve a room at one of our recommended hotels in the area:
Hillside Inn: 0.3 miles (right next door to the Flamingo!)
Astro Motel: 2.1 miles from the Flamingo
Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country: 2.3 miles
Hotel La Rose: 2.4 miles
Courtyard by Marriott Santa Rosa: 2.4 miles
AC Hotel by Marriott Santa Rosa Sonoma Wine Country: 2.7 miles
The Sandman Hotel, sister property to The Flamingo: 3.8 miles
Q: What will my experience be like if I don’t stay at the Flamingo?
A: You’ll be dancing in the sun, playing silly games, sharing meals, soaking up ridiculous antics, and bird-ravin’ (raven?) all night with all your bird friends at the Flamingo, all weekend long. The only difference is, when you’re ready to go to sleep, you jump in your car or grab a Lyft, and you’re at your off-site nest in a few minutes. (Compare that to regular campouts, where you might be hoofing it to your tent that’s 20 minutes away!). In the morning, you zip on back to the party whenever you’re ready.
PLUS, all “Day Tripper” birds who are nesting off-site will have access to our Migration Lounge, new for 2025, all day Saturday. The Migration Lounge will be located within the resort with easy access from the pool area. You can keep your spare plumage in there, sit for a spell to rest your wings, whatever you need to do.
Q: OK, but what if I REALLY want to stay at the Flamingo?
A: Contact us ASAP and we’ll put you on the Wait List for rooms. We can also help connect birds who have bed space available in their reserved rooms with birds who are looking for a room share – just reach out to us and/or feel free to post what you’re looking for in our Facebook BOAF group.
